Balance

This may seem such a strange topic to be blogging on, but its something I’ve been working very hard on over the past few months. 

 

When I’ve talked about myself before, I’ve probably mentioned I’m an all or nothing type of person. I can easily go out one day and walk twenty miles, but others days,  I will get in the car to drive somewhere which I could have waked in ten minutes. I don’t just run one London Marathon I run five! If I don’t want to do something I don’t, especially if I don't see any value in it. I can be very stubborn like that!

 

This crossed over into all aspects of my life, from the hours I worked, to the intensity with which I would do everything. I would describe myself as extreme in all the things that I do. But the word extreme is almost too harsh. So maybe I’m just very focused… No matter whatever the word is I use. I know I need to get more balance into my life and really try to ensure I don't swing from one end to the other, with nothing in-between. 

 

 

Over the past twelve months while my health has been really bad. Its actually given me a lot of time to time and to consider, and to really see the full picture. I could see how I was living my life, was too extreme and one of the things I needed to do, was to obtain a level of balance. 

 

So balance is a word I have been saying to myself over and over again and its something I’ve tried to implement in my life. I’ve had ups and downs and still struggle not go full out for everything. But I feel as though I am starting to get more balance into my life. I know it’s a process and I know its not going to happen overnight. But I have taken the crucial, first step!! 

 

I was in a holistic shop and they had a pack of angel cards, which were opened and you were invited to shuffle the pack and to pick out a card that you were drawn to. 

 

I did this, and I was shocked, so shocked. The card that I picked out of the whole pack. I kid you not was the balance card! 

 

 

Card Meaning: 

 

How has your schedule been lopsided lately?  Be sure to balance your time between work, play, spirituality, exercise, and relationships.

The angels know that you’re busy, with many Earthly demands on your time.  They want to help you with your responsibilities through the process of balance.  Whenever our schedules become disproportionate, our energy drops.  Lowered energy creates the illusion that there isn’t enough time in the day, so a vicious cycle of time limitation ensues.

 

Your angels ask you to add regular doses of meditation, exercise, and play to your days.  They know that balancing your life between work, play spirituality, exercise, and relationships helps you to grow and feel joy.  If you feel overwhelmed by your responsibilities, don’t hesitate to ask God and your angels to lift your burden.

 

After reading this, it reminded me again, I needed to continue with what I’m doing and ensure I continue to get the balance right between, work, play, exercise and relationships. 

 

May the balancing act continue!
