Being Me...

October 10, 2015

One of the things I’ve been learning on this journey is how to be myself and how to be comfortable with who I really am as a person.

I’m someone who’s loud, I’m out-going, I’m confident, I’m talkative, I’m direct, I’m passionate.

I am so many things.

I love pink, I love being girly, I love shaking things up.

I love challenging myself, I love living, I love life.

I love my life and do you know what I’m slowly starting to love myself.

Not in an arrogant way, but in the right way.

I want to care for myself, I want to treat myself with the respect I deserve.

I want to be the best I can be.

I was so conscious when I was younger of being liked and really caring about what people thought of me. I was a people pleaser, and I love helping people, I love helping people to achieve their goals, I love watching people succeed. I love inspiring people.

I still care about those things, but now I try not to force my energy on people who don’t want it. I don’t want to waste it and I want to make sure it goes where it will be appreciate. I still want to please, but now I will put me, and my health first.

I love me, and I love what I do, and I know the message I’m putting out there is one of positivity and inspiration. I’m promoting what I love rather than bashing what I hate and if you don’t like what I’m about or have a problem with me.

That’s not my problem.  That’s your problem.

You need to look at yourself first to see what you’re putting out into the world.

Your opinion now is of no interest to me. It does not affect me, nor will it stop me from doing what I’m going to do. I’m the one who has the power, and control over my life.

I am the one who will take responsibility for the decisions I make.

I am the one, who is in control of my destiny and my future.

It’s my choices that will lead me down the right path for me.

It may not have been the path you would have chosen for me, but this is the path I choose.

Ultimately, it’s my journey and some journeys you have to do on your own.
