What are the most likely injuries and how best to avoid them?

June 22, 2016

People are often of the mindset that more is better when it comes to training. This is so wrong and many people don’t realise the abuse they’re putting their body through.

They hit it hard, running every day or five times a week and they don’t give themselves enough time to recover and rest. Many people will reach race day and be over trained, feeling tired, rundown and not in the best shape.

When you train for a big race such as the marathon, you’re placing your body under huge stress and this will effect people in different ways. Such as mental or physical fatigue, difficulties sleeping etc. One of the best ways to avoid this is to listen to your body and also to have a personalised training plan to suit you and your lifestyle.
