Turning Point with Dr. Rohan Weerasinghe - A transformational 3-Day Experience

February 27, 2017

“To achieve the highest level of performance you must embrace the mess along with the neatness”

There is so much to write about, I’m not even sure where to start! This was a full on intensive three days. It was starting at nine every morning and going on till eleven every night.

There were few breaks, it was just constant, full on, engagement and learning. If you’ve never attended an event like this before, it’s crazy!

I attended Unleash the Power Within with Tony Robbins in London in 2015. So I sort of knew what to expect. With Tony there were around 7,000 to 8,000 people in the Excel centre. With Dr Ro it was on a lot smaller scale, with 300 people, it was a lot smaller and more intimate, you got to know people really well.

This is the last time Dr. Ro will be doing Turning Point and I'm pleased I got to attend.

The starting place is always to know which areas you want to work on. Which areas in your life need improvement, the areas were broken down into 6 areas.

Health & Vitality

Wealth Creation

Relationship & Family

Life Purpose & Life Balance

Business & Career

Personal Finance & Money

For me, the main area’s I need to focus on are Relationships - I scored this 3 out of 10 and Personal Finance & Money which I scored a 5.

When I compare back to 2015 (when I did UPW with Tony Robbins) - I gave myself 1 in finances, 1 in relationship and 2 in physical body.

Since 2015 I have worked hard on my physical body and my health and I’m in an amazing place at the moment. Doing the Marathon des Sables in 2016 and training for the Appalachian Trail in June this year.

My finances have started to improved as I’m no longer going into debt and at the start of this year I started to make an income from doing what I love. Granted it’s not a lot, and I’m still at home living with my parents, but it is a start and if I can earn $100 a month doing what I love, why can’t I earn $1,000 a month or $10,000, or a $100,000!

For me turning point really helped me become utterly focused on what I want to achieve out of life, not only in terms of purpose, but in what I should expect from myself and other people.

I’m clear on what I want from a relationship and who I want to be in a relationship with. I know I don’t need to settle and I know there is someone who will love me for me.

I also understand more about my own personal values and internal motivations.

I think it’s incredibly powerful when you can take the time to reflect on your life and the decisions you’ve made and why you’re in the place you are.

I made a big changed in 2013 and it’s only now in 2017 I have a much clearer purpose, focus and belief in myself with what I’m doing.

At the moment my needs are in conflicts. I want to have security and this feels like my main need, but day to day it’s really variety I’m looking for.

I want love, but I also want significance, it’s close, but at the moment significance is currently higher and I know this. I’m driven by the need to make my business a success, not only in my own eyes, but in the eyes of my family and friends.

I want them to see me as successful and I feel as though I can’t let love in until I have this success. However, if I change my definition of success, then maybe I can let love in.

Previously, I never actually felt successful and I’m not sure I ever would. No matter what I’ve done in my life, I always feel I can do more, I can do better, and I’ve never been satisfied with what I have achieved.

However, I need to know that, doing what I want, doing what I love, doing it how I want. Is very powerful and actually living life on my terms, is success. I just need to say it is, and most importantly believe it is!
