I had a phone call from the Doctor’s office saying I needed to come back in and speak to the doctor as soon as possible about my blood test results as one of them was very low. I managed to get an appointment for the 19th which was the earliest they could see me.

The application process opened on the 12th January at 2 pm. I was at my computer, ready to sign up and commit for this amazing swimming challenge. This is now an annual event and has over the last six years become a firm fixture in the business diaries of local and regional business leaders.

After writing down my 20 goals in 2015 it was time to take action and start making progress to achieving them.


After a little bit of research I found the perfect triathlon to do to; The Cheshire Go Green Triathlon which is based in Nantwich, South Cheshire. This is an easy location for me to get to and it has the added benefit of the swim being done in a heated outdoor pool!

I’ve been trying to get fitter, stronger and to increase my muscle mass since May 2014. It’s been over seven months since then and I know my body’s changed. I feel stronger, I’m the smallest and lightest I’ve ever been. So I know what I’m doing is working! I’m definitely making progress towards my health and fitness goals.
