I’m open minded and willing to give new things a go and to try different activities. One activity that was suggested to me was meditation. So I bought the book, got the CD and threw myself into meditating. Or I tried and failed, many times. I could just not get there. I’m not use to having peace and quiet in my brain as my thoughts come thick and fast - probably why I end up talking so much and so qui...

This may seem such a strange topic to be blogging on, but its something I’ve been working very hard on over the past few months.

When I’ve talked about myself before, I’ve probably mentioned I’m an all or nothing type of person. I can easily go out one day and walk twenty miles, but others days,  I will get in the car to drive somewhere which I could have waked in ten minutes. I don’t just run one Lo...

This is a gorgeous and healthy cake recipe. I've made it super healthy especially for me....After seeing the naturopath I now try and avoid as much sugar as possible. But the one sugar which I’m allowed and which is good for me is coconut sugar - I have no idea why this is! But I now use it in all my cooking.

I’ve just made a very tasty and healthy cake using parsnips, lemon rind, ginger and brazil n...

There are three things that need to be done to treat candida and you need to do them ALL at the same time.

  • Stop the yeast overgrowth

  • Build up friendly bacteria

  • Heal your gut (to stop the candida being able to enter your blood stream)

Stop the yeast overgrowth.

One of the best ways to do this is to manage your diet.

Sugar feeds yeast. You need to starve the yeast, by starving it...

Lemon Juice is amazing for my body - It could also be amazing for you as well!

Like everything I say in my blog. Everyone is different, and just because this works for me does not mean it will work for you as well.

By all means try it, but listen to your body, if you start to have reactions to the lemons stop!! Listen to your body.

The lemon juice challenge as I call it, is a way to alkalise you...

I was in my local health food shop; Honest to Goodness (which is amazing - I spend a small fortune in there every week). I’d got to know the owners really well and we were have a good old chat and candida came up in the conversation. I told them I was on a three week no sugar, no yeast challenge and I was struggling by not being able to get my chocolate fix and how much I missed the taste of chocolate...

In the first episode we are jumping straight in with gender and gender inequality in the workplace.

So many people think because it's 2015 and we had the Equal Pay Act back in 1970 that we have equality in the workplace.

What are your thoughts?

I personally don’t think we have this correct. I have seen first hand discrepancies in pay between men and women doing the same job. But it will be interesti...

Cutting out sugar and yeast for three weeks how hard could that be?

I have willpower, a good enough reason (which I’ll share with you) and a belief I could do this.

To be honest, I may have underestimate how big a challenge this was going to be. I have to admit it, I have to share.

I am a 100% sugar addict. I love the stuff and it has taken me a long time to realise how big my addiction was.

I may not...
