Action Taken – Sprint Triathlon Booked!


After writing down my 20 goals in 2015 it was time to take action and start making progress to achieving them.

After a little bit of research I found the perfect triathlon to do to; The Cheshire Go Green Triathlon which is based in Nantwich, South Cheshire. This is an easy location for me to get to and it has the added benefit of the swim being done in a heated outdoor pool!

What the website says: - The Cheshire Go Green Triathlon is set in Nantwich, South Cheshire, just 40 minutes from Liverpool, Birmingham or Manchester. The event has been enjoyed by thousands of competitors for 22 years now and is aimed at all abilities and fitness levels, from complete novice to club and pro triathlete, as well as charity and fun competitors. The course is spectator friendly for supporting family or friends and a fun and relaxed atmosphere is guaranteed. There will be attractions and facilities available at the park for the triathlon including hot and cold food, refreshments, toilets, a play area with swings and slides that all make for a great day out for the family!

Sprint: - 500m swim - 20km cycle - 5km run

Course Maps: - The event starts with the swim in the only heated outdoor brine swimming pool in Great Britain, followed by a one lap 12.4 mile cycle around the South Cheshire countryside until returning to the Barony Park in Nantwich for the final run, in and around the park itself.
