✨Thursday 3rd October on the Camino Portugués ✨
🌊Porto to Labruge via the coast route 🌊
🌉 Leaving Porto, heading along the coast, you can see the Arrábida Bridge in the distance. It’s a beautiful arch bridge going over the Douro River.
🌊 I love being back by the coast and seeing the water. It makes me feel at home!
Today’s walk was 25.37km, which took 5hrs. I burned 1167 calories according to my Garmin, but that doesn’t take into account my backpack. So it’s probably a little bit more!
🏝 The route was really scenic and there was a series of esplanades and boardwalks. I wasn’t really paying that much attention to the yellow arrows, I just kept the water to my left!
🛌 The albergue is huge! About 24 beds (not a bunk bed in site!) there is one big room downstairs and 2 big rooms upstairs. I’m just trying to get a plan in place for tomorrow. I’m not sure how far I want to walk. Either 31k or 35k. I may just play things by ear and see how I feel on the day!

👉Cicerone has also got an awesome guide book about hiking the Camino Portugués which was written by Kat Davies @followingthearrows
