#1 - Heading to Turkey to walk the Lycian Way!

9th November - Flying from London to Dalaman Airport in Turkey.

💥9th November - The start of a new adventure! 🗓 This has been one of the quickest turnarounds I’ve done. I think I’ve only been back in the uk for a few weeks before it was all go go go!!

🚂 A train to London, a talk in Dorset, train back to London and then catching a plane on the 9th. 💻 I had a huge amount of work stuff that I needed to get done in advance- podcast recorded and edited, Camino vlogs edited and uploaded to YouTube, social Media, talk planning. I didn’t have as much time as I’d like to plan and prepare- but here we are in Turkey!!

I met Kat at Gatwick Airport (first time we’ve met) and to be honest I feel like I’ve known her all my life! We haven’t stopped chatting!!! All I thing hiking, biking, travel and adventure!

🎧 You can listen to Kat on the tough girl podcast Extra it came out on the 9th and we share more about how this adventure came about!

🍕 After checking into the hotel in Fethiye, we went out for some Turkish Pizza - which was delicious and cost a grand total of £1!!

We used the Komoot App while hiking.

We uploaded the GPX tracks to Komoot and used this to help with navigation. The Komoot app also tracks us, and provides a lot of information such as distance covered, elevation gain and loss, there is also voice directions which you can turn on. Mine was called Bob…. (don’t know why!)

*The Komoot App was gifted and we also received sponsorship for this hike.

All of the tracks from the 23 day hike have been recorded on Komoot.
