Subjective feeling out of 10 on:

āļøHighlights: met Chris @chriswalkstheedge4mcf who is walking the entire coastline of Britian. he kindly treated me to brunch while we chatted all things social media and hiking š„¾
šļøChallenges: Iāve got a super bad toothache at the moment. I think I need another filling š¦·. Iām going to push on through and sort it when I finish the walk.
šThoughts: instead of wild camping. I decided to stay at a campsite. It made life a lot easier and it was right on the trail. There was a pub on the campsite. Where I got food, charged electronics and relaxed for a few hrs. Chatted with Ned & Lee and met 2 German š©šŖ hikers on the trail.š„³

Ā£7 cheesy chips
Ā£2.50 ferry ā“ļø to Plymouth at 1pm
Ā£3 Mount Batten ferry ā“ļø
Ā£4.25 apple tango and gf carrot cake
Subjective feeling out of 10 on:
Enjoyment: 6/10 - missing out on company today
Fatigue: 6/10 - felt done in š“
Ease of terrain: 5/10 - it wasnāt particularly hard. I just found it hard.
āļøHighlights: there is a very cool stone marking the south-west coast path where I got my photo taken. That was fun. šø
šļøChallenges: big storms are coming in and there is a super moon which is making the tides higher. Need to plan the river erme crossing. Plus I got absolutely battered last night in the tent. Tent kept collapsing on me. I couldnāt get the pegs in deep enough. It was a nightmare. I did manage to get a few hours. But definitely not quality sleep.
šThoughts: I did cut off a few headlands today and took a ferry instead of doing a 5 mile urban walk on roads. Which just isnāt my thing.
Itās been hard when youāve had a lot of socialising on the trail and then suddenly you go back to being by yourself again. Thereās almost like an adjustment time needed.

Day 28 š„¾South West Coast Path š“ó §ó ¢ó „ó ®ó §ó æ, UK National Trail š¬š§ šSupported by ZOLEO @zoleolifeeurope #ChallengeWithZoleo
ā¹ļøStats: Saturday 24th August
Weather: dry ish with rain spells
From: Warren Point - the ferry terminal ā“ļø
Start time: 9.45am
To: Bigbury-on-Sea
End time: 9pm
Accommodation: wild camped āŗļø
Terrain: beach, forests, fields, gravel tracks. Lots of the tracks were quite overgrown. It was still easy to walk. But got scratched by brambles, nettles and ferns.

š°Costs: Ā£5.79. Water, vimto, & large flapjack.
£16.50 gf pizza (charged me an extra £2.50 for gf base)
Ā£3 mint choc chip ice cream.
Subjective feeling out of 10 on:
Enjoyment: 6/10
Fatigue: 5/10 - a lot of pointless walking trying to find wild camping
Ease of terrain: 5/10
āļøHighlights: getting the logistics done. ā ferry crossing and river crossing. ā
šļøChallenges: Billy the ferry man was disgusting. It was a cash only service (which I didnāt know all the other ferryās have taken Cards ). I didnāt have cash and asked if could pay via PayPal or do a bank transfer et cetera and he was like itās not really worth it for that (Ā£4.50) but you can always do a payment in kind. š¤®š¤¢š¤®
I think he saw the look on my face and then said āitās a jokeā. I didnāt find it funny at all. He also made other inappropriate comments which I didnāt appreciate. Stuff he wouldnāt say to a man.
šThoughts: š§ my mind is swinging between wanting to go faster. To complete the trail quicker, versus take my time and finish when I finish.
š§ another part of my brain is saying eat less youāre over eating. You donāt need to eat this much food. Another part of my brain is saying eat more youāre burning lots of calories keep eating.
š§ and another thing is⦠wild camp and save the money versus stay at a campsite, itās only Ā£15.

Enjoyment: 6/10
Fatigue: 6/10
Ease of terrain: 5/10
āļøHighlights: the ferry driver - dropped me off on the Kingswear side, which saved me getting another ferry.
šødrinking a can of gin and tonic at the end of the day. I really deserved it & enjoyed it! Plus it will help me sleep - I hope! š¤
šļøChallenges: the left side of my face is pretty swollen. I think from my tooth š¦·.
Iām still not sure what to do, whether to go home and get it fixed and then come back out to the trail. Or push on through and get it fixed when I finish in about nine days, I donāt know how long to leave my tooth like this forā¦.
šThoughts: itās just before midnight and Iāve made up my mind. Iām in too much pain. I donāt know how much much longer I can hack this for.
