Subjective feeling out of 10 on:

Enjoyment: 5/10

Fatigue: 4/10

Ease of terrain: 4/10

āļøHighlights: bumped into a listener of the Tough Girl podcast. She was walking the SWCP in sections because she’d been inspired by the amazing women on the podcast.🄳 that gave me a massive boost as I was struggling at that point.

Any time I got into a warm environment šŸ˜€ first the cafĆ© and then the pub - that made me so happy.

šŸ½ļøI’ve eaten well today and I have a bed for the night and all my stuff is getting dry. That is a win. šŸ†

šŸ”ļøChallenges: The weather is awful and it looks like something awful for the next few days as well.

Just constant rain. šŸŒ§ļø It’s the cold and the damp which really gets into my bones. I really don’t like it - hence why I prefer to do challenges in hot places! 🤣

I sat in a toilet block to get warm 🤣But they had the new hand dryers which you can’t use to get warm.

šŸ’Thoughts: I hardly got any photos. There was no view, there was nothing to see it was just rain and mist.

🄳🄳 it’s given me a real boost! Staying at a cute B&B - they got me gf bread and I’ve made sandwiches for tomorrow.

šŸ”ļøChallenges: loads of coastal path closures and diversions. The most I’ve seen so far. It was a bit muddy but nothing I couldn’t handle.

šŸ’Thoughts: Getting ready for the end now! I’m ready to finish and go home šŸ” 3 more days!!! Let’s do this!! Final push šŸ’Ŗ

Subjective feeling out of 10 on:

Enjoyment: 7/10

Fatigue: 3/10

Ease of terrain: 4/10

āļøHighlights: walking with Zoe 🄳Lots of great chats, she walked the SWCP before and knows the area well. The miles flew by. It was a stunning walk to Ludlow Cove - but the weather was just none stop rain. Which was a shame as the views would have been amazing

šŸ”ļøChallenges: I was getting very cold on the final walk to Ludlow Cove. Really needed to get somewhere dry and warm - we stopped off at the local pub. Which was perfect. We chilled there before heading off to find camping. Which was challenging! We really made do…. By the side of the path, very muddy and rooty. But we got warm and dry eventually! Setting up late was a challenge as it was raining and I don’t carry a headtorch.

šŸ’Thoughts: everything is so wet and the weather doesn’t look good for tomorrow. We need 30 mins of sunshine to get everything dry again. But only 1 more day of camping. šŸ•ļø

Enjoyment: 8/10 - always fun to walk and talk with Zoe @headrightout

Fatigue: 5/10 - feeling so tired at the moment ready for some rest.

Ease of terrain: 5/10

āļøHighlights: the sunshine coming out in the afternoon. Getting everything dry was amazing. 🤩 pure joy. I honestly thought it was going to rain all day And it was going to be such a slog.

šŸ”ļøChallenges: the first half of the morning was non-stop rain. It was very miserable. Putting on wet gear, packing up a went tent. Not good. So many muddy steps we were slipping and sliding everywhere. I did take a fall backwards and pop my water bladder. But it was funny. 🤣

šŸ’Thoughts: final day tomorrow. 🄳🄳🄳

Can’t wait. I’ve got my bus ticket booked for 3 pm which means I’ll be home by 11pm the day before my birthday which is what I wanted. Just need to do the final stretch tomorrow and get to the ferry on time.
