Since competing in her first triathlon in 2006 Helen has been very successful in multi-sport competitions, securing a number of victories and podium places in both, local, national and international Triathlons and Duathlons.

Susie Cheetham - Professional Triathlete. 6th place at Kona 2015.


Susie is a professional triathlete and came 6th at the Iron Man World Championships in 2015.

Susie shares her first experience of fitness at a young age and how by deciding to join a running club, it changed the whole direction of her life.

Rachel Bown - PE Teacher & Triathlete who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2014. This is her journey back to fitness.


Rachel is a 44 year old, Special Needs PE Teacher who loves sports and has represented Team GB at Triathlon. This is her story of how she knew something was wrong with her, but no one would listen. Eventually she stopped talking about it. She was then diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2014. During the podcast we talk about how she handled the news, and how she coped with her diagnoses. What kept her positive through the challenges she faced, from emergency operations, to only being able to sit up in bed for five minutes at a time. Rachel has fought her way back to health and fitness and inspired many along the way with her story.

Jen Brown - Running and Triathlon Coach and founder of Sparta Chicks!


Jen has done 2 x 50km races and a 100km team event. She hiked and climbed mountains on 4 continents (including mountaineering in Nepal, Argentina, climbing Kilimanjaro & Meru in Tanzania, as well as completing the Everest Base Camp trek, and the Inca Trail in Peru!).


Since Jen found her new passion, she left her old job of being a lawyer and set up her own business called Sparta Chicks for women who enjoy triathlons, trail running and outdoor adventures.
